City Surplus
The City of Vancouver's Property Management Program, operated under the Public Works Asset and Financial Management, assists with the acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate property inventory and utility rights of way, and management of the City's property rights.
Surplus real properties are those that have been identified by Council as properties that no longer meet the needs of the City’s mission and have been determined to no longer be utilized to serve a public purpose. All surplus properties require a public process and Council approval prior to sale.
The City of Vancouverhas established policies and processes for the surplus and disposition of real property, which can be found in Vancouver Municipal Code (VMC) 3.30. Interested parties are encouraged to thoroughly review the information provided in the code.
